Take Action at School
Vote Science
Our leaders need to know that science matters. Get your students involved in the election this fall: write letters to local candidates to ask them how they're going to make science a priority if elected. |
Canada Waste Reduction Week
Join a national movement to raise awareness about reducing the amount of waste we produce. They have a school toolkit for running your own waste reduction week, and lots of great resources on topics like food waste, what happens to your thrown-away textiles, and the problem with plastics. |
Plant a Garden
Consider planting a pollinator garden to support pollinators in your area, or plant a vegetable garden to help your students learn more about local food. Gardens are great teaching tools and easily linked to subjects like science, math, literacy, and art. |
