RE: COVID-19
As classroom teaching, and educational programming more broadly, has temporarily moved to the online realm, we are no longer able to offer in-person education sessions.  However, if you see an opportunity for us to help out with online education, we would be happy to figure something out!  Please reach out to: education@ecologynorth.ca

Classroom Visits

Are you new to a community and a little hazy on the plants and animals of the region?

Are you wondering where your waste really goes?

Are you wanting someone to come in and demonstrate how to use the activities available on the website?

Consider having an Ecology North educator come and teach a session!

What We Offer:

Themed Workshops: Ecology North can come in to deliver one of our well-loved workshops about waste, water, climate change, energy, or ecology and animals.

Tailored Classrooms Visits: Depending on staff availability, Ecology North may be able to come in to deliver a session tailored to your grade level and area of study.

Project-Specific Workshops: When we have funding to come to your community for a specific project or topic, we will get in touch to see if your school is interested in having us come in!  These workshops are fully funded, so we can come at no cost to your school.

Email us at education@ecologynorth.ca to inquire about a classroom visit or workshop.

What's the Cost?

FREE! Thanks to a variety of funders including the Government of the Northwest Territories and TD Friends of the Environment.

We are hard at work trying to upload all of our workshops and activities onto this website so that educators can lead the sessions themselves.  Please check out the activities page for our favourite activities!
Website designed and maintained by Ecology North. Funding for this project provided by NSERC, MACA, and TD..
